1. PURCHASING ONLINE from GUITARBOX

1.1 All goods and services are sold in accordance with The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. The purpose of this regulation is to ensure that the customer is given clear and accurate information about the goods and services supplied by the retailer to help give confidence when buying online.

1.2 After submitting an order to us we will send you an order acknowledgement email with your order number and details of the goods that you have ordered. Please note this email is an automated acknowledgement and is not an acceptance of your order.

1.3 Order acceptance and the completion of the contract between the customer and GuitarBox will take place at the point of order dispatch, unless we have notified you otherwise, or you have cancelled your order in accordance with the terms set out in the Cancellations & Returns section below.

1.4 If we do not accept an order, a full refund will be processed. We may refuse to accept an order if:

– We cannot obtain authorisation from the bank or suspect fraud
– There have been errors/issues with the description of the goods
– Goods are unavailable or discontinued.

1.5 If an order is cancelled, any payment made will be refunded in full. This does not affect your Statutory Rights.

1.6 Any promotional discount shall apply to new products and selected brands only and not to products within the ‘Pre-Owned’ category.

2. EU Customers

2.1 GuitarBox is a small business and is not UK VAT registered. Our prices do not include UK VAT so please do not ask us to deduct VAT from the purchase price.

2.2 Since 1st July 2021 UK businesses have the option to collect EU VAT and duties on behalf of customers at the point of purchase. GuitarBox has not currently put this arrangement in place and therefore our prices do not include EU import costs.

This means that EU customers purchasing from GuitarBox will be contacted in their own country to make payment of EU VAT and duty before they can receive their items.

3. DELIVERY

3.1 We will pack and post all orders within 1 working day where possible (excluding weekends, public holidays and bank holidays).

3.2 GuitarBox use Royal Mail delivery services:

– 2nd Class (free)

– Special Delivery (chargeable).

3.3 We trust that Royal Mail and our courier will deliver on time and we cannot be held responsible for their delays.

4. CANCELLATION and RETURNS

4.1 In accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations, you have the right to cancel the contract any time up to 14 working days starting the day after delivery.

4.2 Goods can be exchanged or refunded, provided they are returned to us in an unused condition with their original packaging and any product enclosures. You can make arrangements to return an item by completing the return request form on our website, by email to [email protected] or telephone 01617611260.

4.3 Goods will be exchanged or refunded free of postage charges if the mistake is ours, otherwise you are responsible for the costs and return arrangements of unwanted goods to GuitarBox.

4.4 It is your responsibility to take good care of the product during the cancellation period. As an example, an effects pedals should be returned exactly as it was received, ie not scuffed, scratched or tampered with in any way.  Any power adaptor or batteries included in the box should not be removed, ditto any other enclosures such as instruction leaflet, plectrum or any other product merchandise. We reserve the right to deduct a percentage from the refund value in the event of any item being returned in this manner.

4.5 You are responsible for packaging the return sufficiently to avoid damage on the return journey.  Please note that whilst your returned order is in transit it is still your responsibility and we therefore advise that you send items by Signed For or Special Delivery to insure the value of your goods.

4.6 Refunds can only be made by the method originally used to pay for the goods. Credit/debit card refunds will usually be processed within 2 working days and normally take 3-5 working days to show on your account, depending on your original payment method. This does not include despatch postal charges or return postal charges. PayPal has recently changed their refund policy and no longer reimburse transaction fees to the seller. We therefore reserve the right to deduct this amount from any refund payment where the purchase is via PayPal.  This does not affect payments made via our alternative payment provider.

WE CAN ONLY ACCEPT RETURNED GOODS IF THEY ARE STILL OF MERCHANDISABLE QUALITY. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT RETURNED GOODS IF THEY HAVE OBVIOUSLY BEEN USED OR TAMPERED WITH OR ANY OF THE ORIGINAL ENCLOSURES REMOVED.

5. DATA PROTECTION

5.1 By placing your order, you agree and understand that we may store, process and use data collected from your order for the purposes of processing your order.

5.2 We do not see or store your credit / debit card number when you purchase online.
